Welcome to Fumus et Ratio (“the Club,” “we,” “us”), operated by Good Works LLC. By creating an account or using this app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility · 21 and over

Fumus et Ratio is a community organized around cigar-accompanied gatherings. You must be at least 21 years of age to create an account, RSVP to, or host a gathering. We verify age at sign-up and enforce it server-side. Misrepresenting your age is grounds for immediate removal.

2. What the platform is (and is not)

• The app is a directory and coordination tool for member-hosted gatherings. We sell no tobacco products and take no payment for cigars. Hosts supply their own cigars and supplies and are responsible for complying with all local laws.
• Gatherings are hosted by independent members, not by the Club. Attendance is at your own judgment and risk (see the Waiver).

3. Your account

Sign-in is passwordless via email. You are responsible for the security of your email account. Provide accurate information and keep your profile honest. This is a club of gentlemen.

4. Hosting

Hosts must accept the Host Liability Waiver before posting a gathering. Hosts agree to: verify attendees appear to be 21+, follow local smoking and gathering ordinances, obtain any required permissions for the venue, and represent the Club with class.

5. Conduct

Follow the Community Guidelines. We may suspend or remove accounts, gatherings, or content that violate them, at our discretion.

6. Content

You retain rights to content you post and grant us a license to display it within the app. Don’t post content you don’t have rights to.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Club and Good Works LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app or attendance at member-hosted gatherings. Smoking carries inherent health risks; participation is voluntary.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
