Host & Attendance Liability Waiver

This waiver is accepted electronically during onboarding (we store the timestamp) and applies to attending and hosting Fumus et Ratio gatherings.

Assumption of risk

I understand that gatherings involve the voluntary, legal consumption of cigars by adults 21 and over, and may take place outdoors, at private residences, or at third-party venues. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance, including risks related to tobacco smoke, food and drink, venue conditions, and travel.

Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release Fumus et Ratio, Good Works LLC, chapter leaders, and event hosts from liability for injury, illness, or loss arising from my attendance at gatherings, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Host responsibilities

• I will supply my own cigars and supplies; I understand the platform sells no tobacco.
• I will admit only guests who are 21 years of age or older.
• I will comply with local laws and venue rules regarding smoking and assembly, and obtain permission for the spaces I use.
• I will not sell or distribute tobacco products through the platform or represent that Fumus et Ratio does so.
• I accept responsibility for the conduct of my gathering consistent with the Community Guidelines.

Health acknowledgment

Cigar smoking carries inherent health risks, including risks from secondhand smoke. My participation is informed and voluntary.

Media

Photos taken at public gatherings with my visible consent may be used in club materials (e.g., the Moments gallery). I may ask for removal at any time.
